As a photographer of the natural world, I am benefiting from the beauty and power of my home planet. This fact carries with it an understanding of my place and purpose, a perspective I think of when I watch storms. We are not in charge of earth, nor should we pretend to be, lest we wish to upset the very ecosystems that brought us into existence. Let awe be a reminder of this and a call to tread lightly over our home.
